I am currently teaching philosophy courses at various colleges in Minnesota while looking for a permanent faculty appointment. I received my Ph.D. in Cognitive Science and M.A. in Philosophy from the University of Minnesota — Twin Cities, after completing a B.A. in Philosophy and Arabic Language from the University of Wisconsin — Milwaukee.
My research primarily focuses on the relationship between classical pragmatism and embodied cognitive science, especially as they inform our conceptions of truth, language, and logic. Further interests include: categorization, organismal biology, machine metaethics, cognitive anthropology, and various issues in Philosophy of Science and Philosophy of Mind. I would also love to collaborate with cognitive scientists from other disciplines on articles or in a lab setting.
My dissertation, The Nature of Human Truths (2024), expounds on the thought of the classical Pragmatist, F.C.S. Schiller (d. 1937), and defends a pragmatic, perspectival theory of truth for the cognitive domain, contra the thesis of Stich (read it here).
